A New Chapter
Do you like Sherlock Holmes? This person of literatures life is a series of cases. His life seems defined not only by his character but by the cases he works on and solves. I have always found this character fascinating.
Each of you is more interesting than Sherlock … you are real, not made up in the mind of an author.
Each of us has a story … the story of our life. That is why we are so interested in hearing the story of someone else … real or fictional.
In the story of our life, there are chapters … some of those chapters we would like to leave out. Some we would like to make longer.
If you are in the middle of a very difficult chapter then it would be great if we could just end that chapter with the end of this year and start a brand new chapter with 2026. GREAT IDEA?
But sometimes the circumstances of our lives just don’t cooperate with the yearly cycle … and other people in our lives don’t always help either.
In this new year let us intentionally invite the Lord into our story: “Lord, You be the editor.” The best way to do that is to start with prayer.
Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV) ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
